In Extension Digitech, students will have the opportunity to explore both block and text-based coding within a practical environment. We will be challenging ourselves to solve real-world problems using both hardware and software while following the technology design process.
There will also be the opportunity to represent Heaton in the 123Tech Competition.
Student requirements
To be selected you will need to have:
· a passion for solving problems and finding solutions
· previous experience with the basics of coding (just block coding is fine)
· be prepared to come to each lesson ready to be challenged
· A willingness to give some of your own time to complete projects as deadlines approach.
Selection will be based on:
· attitude to work during home and technology classes in 2022
· your ability to think creatively and systematically
· your ability to work well in a team
· individual motivation and organisation
