Extension Food Technology

                                  

Students will:
  • focus on nutrition and healthy eating for teenagers. There will be opportunities to refine practical skills and practice the preparation of healthy, nutritious, and tasty food. You will also engage in technology thinking and inquiry models of learning while making practical products. For example, you will need to research and find information about your intended product (the food you want to make) and conduct trials ( make your food several times) to assess if your ideas are going to be successful or fit for the intended purpose. We may also have an element of competition. 
Selection will be based on:
  • the quality of your application
  • attitude to work in the technology classes in 2021
  • the ability to be creative and work collaboratively
  • individual motivation and organisation
